Last week we donated two bulk bags of our Grade A Top Soil to The Sussex Multiple Sclerosis Treatment Centre.
They will be using this for their raised bed area which are being constructed at the centre thanks to generous donations and support of local businesses and banks.
The centre offers a range of services supporting people, providing access to exercise classes and a range of social opportunities. The treatment centre was started over 25 years ago when people in Sussex with multiple sclerosis got together and started fundraising for treatment and equipment. They are now helping people with other long term health conditions such as strokes, ME and children with cerebral palsy and autism just to mention a few. They also help local emergency services with any situations that may arise with divers. Part of the treatment available for Multiple Sclerosis includes Hyberbaric Oxygen Therapy, which is the same treatment that divers receive when they are suffering from the bends.
This charity are always looking for different ways to raise money and volunteers who want to get involved! If you feel you'd be able to contribute then please contact them directly.
We look forward to seeing photos of the raised beds when they are completed!
